Jodie Scott, MA, CCC-SLP
Jodie Scott is a Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Beyond Words Therapy Clinic. She was born and raised in Milan, TN, and she currently resides there with her husband and three children. She graduated from Milan High School in 2000 and received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lambuth University in 2004. She received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Memphis in 2006. Jodie has 16 years of experience in the field and has worked with children ages 0-18 years with a variety of speech/language needs and diagnoses. She has been employed primarily in the school system, but also has experience in the clinic setting. She utilizes a child-led, play-based approach in all her therapy sessions. Her areas of interest include speech sound disorders, language disorders, and feeding therapy. She is one of three SLPs in Tennessee who is trained in Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) and is listed on the national NLA Clinician Registry. Jodie holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as a Speech-Language Pathology license from the State of Tennessee.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Some of her favorite things include Disney, the beach, the St. Louis Cardinals, and her dog, Chip!
Diana Taylor, CCC-SLP
Diana Taylor is a state certified Speech-Language Pathologist with 33 years of professional experience and membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She attended Abilene Christian University in Texas where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders in 1988 and her Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 1990. She has worked in a variety of pediatric & geriatric settings in California, New York and Texas. Most recently Diana was on faculty at Abilene Christian University as the Director of Clinical Education and the Director of the Duncum Center for Speech-Language & Learning. She now resides in Milan, TN with her husband where she is the owner of The Caldwell Inn & Wedding Chapel. She has 3 amazing adult children who also serve in the healthcare field. Diana is pleased to be a team member at Beyond Words on an as needed basis.
In her spare time Diana enjoys international & domestic travel, reading, home design and thrifting, When she is relaxing you will find her at her lake house or camping in the woods.
